SEMINARS BY DESIGNfounded by Donna Vining FASID, IIDA,RID,CAPS and Tom Schwenk, offers a variety of Health, Safety and Welfare classes as well as business-oriented,sales,marketing and decorative arts lectures and  seminars.  They have been presenting seminars since 1993. They speak at Design Centers, corporate sales meetings, conventions and for associations such as ASID. They also speak at industry events such as NEOCON and other annual events.  All of their courses are registered by IDCEC and range from 1 hour CEU's to 6 hour CEU's. They also represent a large group of other professional speakers who have registered seminars on a variety of subjects, enabling them to make it easy and entertaining for the interior design professional to learn and earn CEU's.

They regularly schedule classes for the design professional in a variety of cities. SEMINARS BY DESIGN also works with organizations to provide a custom tailored day of seminars for their member's professional development day by organizing and/or presenting seminars.

SEMINARS BY DESIGN has a full range of programs that they present at corporate sales meetings ranging from one hour to a full day of workshops for companies and corporations who sell and provide services to the interior design professional.
 
They enjoy working with industry partners and other suppliers in the home furnishings industry. Our seminars on the Power of Partnering and How to Sell to Interior Designers are favorites throughout the United States. We also develop custom programs for corporate sales meetings and company team building events.

    Mary Jane (Janey) F. Ellis, ASID, MA
    Janey Ellis, a registered interior designer in the State of Texas and is one of the most sought-after faux artists in Houston, has over 30 years of experience in art. She received her B.A. in Art and a Master�s Degree in Interior Design. She is a teacher, certified artisan and Master Trainer for Faux Effects International. Her work has been featured in show houses of the American Society of Interior Designers and she has been published in local, regional and national publications. She is the founder and president of Anything But Plain Studio and School of Decorative Finishes in Houston TX
     

    Bernadette V. Upton, ASID  is a LEED-accredited  interior designer, lecturer, and consultant who has specialized in environmental interior design since 1982. She has served as president of the American Society of Interior Designers� (ASID�s) Florida South Chapter and is a founding member of the national ASID Sustainable Design Council. She is also a member of the Florida Green Building Coalition (FGBC) and the National Environmental Health Association.  An 11 year board member of the American Lung Association, she is the co author of the Baby�s Breath Program and  has designed numerous Health Houses.  

       
        
    Richard E Slavin III
    Richard E. Slavin III, is a Decorative Arts consultant specializing in period interiors, textiles, wallpapers and furnishings is the author of many articles on textiles as well as the book Opulent Textiles: The Schumacher Collection. A fabric design of his was selected by Architectural Digest to be included in their Great Design Issue , November 2003.  Richard is available to speak to Historical Foundations, Museums, Design Conferences and at Design Centers throughout the United States.
     
     
     
    Claudia Lezell, ASID, CTC
    has owned and operated full-time retail interior design establishments for over twelve years. The technical training Ms. Lezell has received over the years and various certifications she holds as a full-time floor-covering inspector have also provided Ms. Lezell with an enormous landscape of technical background. She presently the Vice President of the Certification Board for Inspection for the Institute of Inspection Cleaning & Restoration Certification (IICRC) and is certified through the Ceramic Tile Institute of America, Inc. as a Ceramic Tile Consultant(CTC)
